September Update: Imagination (Lyndon) and No Naps (Colin)
Lyndon's imagination has really taken off. He now regularly pretends to be a sea monster (thanks to us taking him to an IMAX show about prehistoric sea creatures) or super heroes such as Spider Man. His latest antics include pretending there's a shark, squid or sea monster in the den with us, then we have to decide to fight them or hide. I let him choose our course of action.
On a side note, at 4 a.m. this morning, coming off of Labor Day Weekend, he came in to our room upset and then threw up on me a little as I lifted him into bed with us. He was completely fine after that, and babbled for a good half hour about everything under the sun. It also occurred to me that he joined thousands of Americans across the nation in ending their Labor Day weekend by vomiting.
Colin, on the other hand, has developed into a baby version of his daddy in terms of sleep requirements. More often than not lately, he has been taking one one-hour nap a day. That's it. I don't know how he does it, but he really seems to want to sit and play most of the time. He's still not crawling officially, but has inched forward a few times and is trying his hardest.
