October 2008 Update
Seems like an eternity since my last post, but that's parenthood for you.
Colin
Colin is crawling like a little madman and I'm really tempted to enter him into competition at this point. If Usain Bolt has any competitive drive left after the Olympics, I challenge him to come and face Colin "The Transporter" Thomas in a crawling match. I'll even give him best two out of three. Colin is also pulling up, though that has resulted in some solid wipeouts. We made a fine $81 investment in a carpet pad in the den, which his noggin appreciates.
His favorite crawling destination right now is Lenny's dog bowl, and he prefers to approach it when it is at its nastiest, gooiest state (right after Lenny eats). Colin remains happy all the time and sometimes -- like today when he woke up at 4:30 a.m. -- it really makes me feel like doo doo when I get a little impatient with him and he looks up and coos and grins at me. This is one happy boy. He is eating up his baby food well, and really loves his morning fruits.
Lyndon
Lyndon continues to grow in leaps and bounds. He is now very interested in talking all the time, repeating your conversation but also very seriously engaging you in storytelling and providing updates. His favorite TV show right now is "Giant Monsters," a special from Discovery or Animal Planet about large creatures of yore. He is still into Diego and all superheroes, including Spider Man and Hulk. He loves animals and is always interested in looking at spiders and spider webs. Lucky for him, we've had plenty. His latest food favorites are breakfast bars in the morning, lunchables, cheese, eggrolls, sausage, mini-burgers and chicken nuggets. He's discovered the wonders of honey mustard, too.

"My see poo poo." (the fact that he wants to look at his poop is hopefully indicative of his interest in potty training...we're not worried yet)
