Colin:
Colin has invented a new dance we have dubbed "The Colin Wiggle." Anytime music plays, he wiggles his little hips, showing a Hawaiian influence. I have yet to catch him listening to Don Ho, but this could evolve. He's very close to walking and now is one-handing the couch as he reaches for objects or moves laterally. His first word: "wow" along with the obligatory "ba ba ba ba buh buh buh." He remains very much against the institution of sleep, and does his best to pull us over to his way of thinking by refusing to sleep. His excema (spelling?) has been persistent, but we hope this latest round of antibiotics will keep him from looking like we left him in the sun eight hours too long.
Lyndon:
Lyndon continues to weave some elaborate imaginary scenarios, such as "my Spider Man, you Sandman." It was during one of these Spider Man battles that we decided that Colin was "Baby Shocker," the junior version of the Spider Man villain. Now, Lyndon will say things like "Here come Baby Shocker! I better run!" and will hold his hands to his face in mock horror. He also frequently alerts us to the presence of big mean wolves, squids, bears and dinosaurs in our room that we have to escape from. His latest preferred breakfast is breakfast bars and strawberries, and rarely will he deviate from that. Current Lyndonisms:
"I wonder what's going to happinnnnnnn."
"Sit down with me daddy/mommy."
"My wrestle baby."
"No poo poo in the floor" (don't ask)
